It was a day – 13th October 2016 – when the people of Thailand realised that they had lost a father-figure, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Thailand lost a great King, one who will be revered for time immemorial.
The India Thai Chamber of Commerce will pay homage to a great soul with a multi-religion prayer meeting, before the Royal Cremation set for 26th October 2017.
The Ambassador of India to Thailand, H. E. Mr. B. S. Bishnoi has gracefully consented to lead the prayers.
The “Multi-Faith Prayers” will be held
• From 6.00 p.m. – 7.30 p.m.
• On Tuesday 24th October 2017
• At ITCC Convention Hall, Sathorn Soi 1, Bangkok
As members of Indian Diaspora in Thailand, we recognize the importance of coming together to pay respects and celebrate the life of His Majesty, who, during his long reign has contributed immensely toward enriching the lives of millions of people living in Thailand.
We also invite all other foreign Chambers of Commerce and their members to join us in prayer.
We will mark his passing with a period of silence, followed by chanting by Buddhist monks and then multi-religious / multi faith prayers by Indian Communities living in Thailand.
We request you all to share this information and show our solidarity with the Thai people and the nation. Participation in prayers is open to all.
As a mark of respect we request you to kindly wear black, white or dark, muted clothing for the prayer meet.
